Australia Awards
Australia Awards are an Australian Government initiative designed to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia, its neighbours and the global community. They provide a range of opportunities for study and professional development in Australia.

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) and Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships (ALAS)
Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) and Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships (ALAS) equip students with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence the development outcomes of their own country through obtaining tertiary qualifications at participating Australian higher education institutions (The University of Queensland is a participating institution) and technical colleges.
In return, all scholars (ADS and ALAS) are expected to return to their home country upon completion of the program to contribute to their country/region's development.

- Introductory Academic Program (IAP)
- Student Health Cover (OSHC)
- Pre-course English (PCE) fees, if needed

Endeavour Postgraduate Awards
The Endeavour Postgraduate Award provides financial support for international students for up to 4 years to undertake a postgraduate qualification at a Masters or PhD level either by coursework or research in any field of study in Australia.
2013 Round
All Endeavour Award categories will be offered for the 2013 round. Please check the Endeavour Awards website closer to this date for further information and the applicant guidelines. Please note there will not be a second round offered in 2013.

Australian citizens and those holding permanent humanitarian visas are eligible to apply for scholarships, awards and other funding available from the Australian Government. Click here for more information.
Commonwealth scholarships
World Bank Scholarships for students from World Bank member countries
In 1987, the World Bank, with funding from the Government of Japan, established the World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (WBGSP) for graduate studies in subjects related to economic development. Each year the program awards scholarships to individuals from World Bank member countries to undertake graduate studies at renowned universities throughout member countries of the Bank.

Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP)
The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is an international program under which member governments offer scholarships and fellowships to citizens of other Commonwealth countries. See Countries Offering Awards for details of what awards are available at the moment.
Ambassadorial Scholarships (Rotary club)
Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships provide a flat grant of US$27,000 for one academic year of study in another country. Some Rotary districts may not offer scholarships. Applicants must check with their local club about availability. Grants are provided in U.S. dollars or their international equivalent.
Scholarships for Australian and international women
The Australian Federation of Graduate Women (AFGW) is the national voice of graduate women, promoting the advancement of women worldwide and their equality of opportunity through initiatives in education, friendship and peace. The AFGW offers scholarships to women seeking to advance their studies through an honours program, postgraduate program or PhD.
