What makes the MES unique?

The MES has been developed by the International Energy Centre, in close collaboration with three leading Australian universities and an industry partner. This unique partnership results in our co-taught, co-delivered and co-badged approach.

Co-taught

The teaching team comprises academics from all three partner universities.

The program uses only outstanding faculty and industry experts. Students learn directly from leading academics, researchers and internationally acclaimed practitioners in the energy sector. Guest presentations by industry experts also provide students with countless networking opportunities.

Co-delivered

Courses are delivered at all three partner universities.

This gives students the opportunity to study on-campus at Australia's finest universities.

Co-badged

The MES testamur bears the logos of all three partner universities.

Graduates receive a co-badged Master of Energy Studies, from the University of Queensland, the University of Western Australia and the University of Newcastle. The program is supported and endorsed by leading industry partner Xstrata Coal.
